In 2009, Hylink created “The Change” an interactive experience for China Mobile.
The Change, also known as “The mobile picture of the vast territory of motherland”, is an interactive informational picture designed with the reference of the shape and structure of Chinese Green Landscape. It traces the timeline of China Mobile’s 15-year business development, and presents every subtle change of Chinese people’s daily lives in every aspect brought by mobile communication technology thru the means of data visualization.
In this interactive campaign, Hylink led the trend and produced 15 internet short films with rich theatrically visual styling, displaying 15 life fragments of a college graduate starting from 1995. These short films were presented on an interactive site with an innovative form of time slicing, forming a scroll of life trajectory of a person as a toddler growing up, from jogging and tumbling to leaping and so on. Users can generate their own life trajectory scroll on this site as well. Within a month, over 6,000 users participated in this online production and it instantly became a hit across Chinese cyberspace.
The campaign attempts to document the rich experiences of a person’s life, career and emotion in today’s era of change, embodying the brand’s proposition of “Mobile changes lives”.
