In 2010, Hylink started to create “The First LBS Concert on Earth” for China Mobile.

MiGu is China Mobile’s wireless music festival, presented to youths thru live music performances and internet streaming. In order to create a new musical experience for millennials’ in today’s era of mobile internet, Hylink customized the “MiGu Live” mobile app with the latest LBS and AR technology to bring the First LBS Concert on Earth to life.

No matter where users are, simply by holding their mobile phones towards the direction of the concert’s location, at the Beijing Worker’s Stadium, where the concert is taking place, they can experience the concert live thru real-time 3D animation and live streaming of the performances. Meanwhile, the concert was also virtually setup in collaboration with Google Earth. The users’ real-time GPS data is utilized to generate huge 3D avatars which are also connected to the stadium turning the experience into a huge standing ovation. Via the mobile app, users upload their own short videos to connect with the singers’ live performance, to achieve a real-time collective performance. Broadcasted live and streamed online, more than 31 million users participated in “The First LBS Concert on Earth”.
